IT CyberSecurity Specialist

The Role:  

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization’s digital assets, ensuring compliance with security standards, and implementing robust security processes. If you have a passion for cybersecurity, a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 security features, and a track record of successful security projects, we encourage you to apply. 

 

Responsibilities
• Cybersecurity Management:
o Develop and implement effective cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures for the area such as Incident Response and similar documentation.
o Monitor, detect and respond to security incidents, and conduct vulnerability assessments.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Microsoft 365 & Cloud Security:
o Leverage Microsoft 365 security features, including Microsoft Defender,Sentinel, and Microsoft Intune, to protect our environment.
o Configure and manage security settings and permissions within Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
o Investigate and remediate security incidents related to Microsoft 365 and Cloud services (Azure and AWS).
o Make sure security best practices are applied to Infrastructure Cloud servicesin Azure and AWS.
• Compliance and Frameworks:
o Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC2, and other relevant regulations.
o Configure and manage Data Governance and compliance settings within Microsoft Purview.
o Act and collaborate as internal audit to maintain compliance.
• Project management:
o Lead security-related projects, such as defining and implementing new policies such as data loss prevention (DLP), classification and encryption.
o Participate in security architecture, design and review.
• Training and Awareness:
o Conduct security awareness training for employees.
o Promote a security-conscious culture across the organization.
 

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
• Certifications related to Azure, M365 and AWS security are highly desirable.
• Proven experience (at least 5 years) in IT and Cloud Security roles.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure security features and compliance tools.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure/AWS cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
