A BIM Specialist generally covers the modeling of different trades (Architecture, Structure or MEP), depending on your background and expertise, whose extent will depend on the scope of the project (specific zones or entire buildings), and whose quality will go according to clients’ requirements and the services provided by the team you end up joining. This position requires a high level of modeling quality (expertise, technical knowledge, LOD and QAQC capabilities), and more autonomy in its self-management and modeling capabilities (studying whatever's necessary according to each trade). A BIM Specialist saves the client problems, detecting possible conflicts throughout the initial information review and the modeling and coordination phases.
This is a BIM Specialist position for Mechanical or Civil Engineers with previous experience in BIM modeling, and a fluent level of English since they'll have to communicate with the client on a constant basis. They'll work with the mechanical and plumbing trades, carrying out experienced modeling tasks and client management, in projects like helicopter bases, office buildings, and pharmaceutical laboratories (diverse, but all MEP related).
They'll report to Job Captains and won't have people in charge.
Requirements are:
- An Upper Intermediate level of English is an absolute must.
- A Mechanical or Civil Engineering bachelors degree. We're open to technical architects with MEP experience.
- At least two years of experience modeling with Revit (mandatory).
- Some experience with or a good notion of Navisworks (mandatory).
- Excellent commercial and communicational skills.
- Experience modeling at LOD 400 desirable.
- Experience with US based projects desirable.
